Southwest Georgia Living is published six times each year. Subscription rates are $20 for one year and $32 for two years. Editorial Content
While the majority of our article ideas are generated in-house, we do accept queries from previously published freelance writers. Pay for accepted/assigned articles is based on word count and is at the discretion of the editor-in-chief. Our full feature articles average 1,200 words, while shorter features average 500-750 words.
Southwest Georgia Living purchases the following rights to the work: (1) all First North American Serial Rights; (2) exclusive publication rights for 30 days after the newsstand off-sale date of the issue in which the work is published. Additionally, Southwest Georgia Living retains exclusive rights to the edited form of the work, all or in part, for promotional, reprint, or electronic (digital) use. Any editorial changes will be made at the sole discretion of the editorial staff.
Submission Guidelines
If you’re interested in writing an article for Southwest Georgia Living, send 1-2 paragraphs on each story query to K.K. Snyder at kk@swgaliving.com or SWGA Living, ATTN: K.K. Snyder, PO Box 71308, Albany, GA 31708. We will respond within 4 weeks.
A resume and writing samples may be requested with first-time queries.
We cannot return nor be responsible for unsolicited materials. Please do not send original copies of writing, photos, or artwork.
We prefer to receive completed assigned articles via email. Microsoft Word documents preferred.

Audience
We direct mail to subscribers and businesses, targeting adults ages 25-64 with annual incomes of $75,000 or more. In addition, the magazine is available at retail outlets across the region and beyond. Always cognizant of the mission to inform, enlighten and delight readers, Southwest Georgia Living strives for accuracy, visual appeal, and relevance.
